Avocado benefits for your Skin

 

 

Avocados originated in southern Mexico and are often called the Alligator pear. It works great on your skin as a part of your daily skin care routine. Avocados are rich in fat as well as protein. These fats are monounsaturated which are needed for a healthy heart. The supply of vitamin E in avocados helps the heart to remain fit. Avocados supply more potassium than bananas actually 60 percent more.

Avocados are also rich in fiber, foliate (folic acid), vitamin B6, iron, copper and magnesium. Adding avocados to your diet, in salads and other meals as well as applying avocados to your skin can be beneficial. Avocados contain vitamins like A, D, and E which have penetrating abilities which helps to improve your skin. Avocado oil has been found to be very useful for our skin. The oil helps to remove any sun damage and age spots. It also provides soft skin and provides a moisturizing effect to damaged, undernourished and dehydrated skin.

Puffy Eyes
 

Cut an avocado into slices and place the slices of avocados under each eye and keep on for 20 minutes. The results will be awesome.

Eye Cream
 

Make an Avocado eye cream by mixing 5 drops of almond oil to 3 ripe slices of avocado. Blend this mixture and pat it around your eyes. Leave on for five minutes then rinse.

Another method for making the eye cream is by using 1/4 cup avocado oil with 1/4 cup Aloe Vera gel. Other oils you could use to make the eye cream are apricot kernel, grape seed or sesame oil.

 


 

 

Facial Mask
 

Make a facial mask to treat dry skin. Mash half avocado and apply it generously on your face. Keep it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.

Make a paste of ½ ripe avocado mixed with 1 tsp vegetable oil. Apply this paste to clean skin. Leave it on 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it with warm water. This mask works wonders on very dry skin.


 

 

Facial Scrub
 

You will need 2 tbsp. flax seeds, 1/2 mashed banana and 1/2 avocado peel. Use a small bowl to mix flax seeds and banana. Scoop the banana and flax seed by using avocado peel. Massage this scoop on your face in a circular motion, slowly and gently. Rinse it with warm water.
